Tyre Finder

You can search in three ways: by size, by motorcycle or by the sidewall marking of your current tyre. Results come WITH a compatibility rationale.

Abstract technical pattern

Where do I read my tyre size?

The size is embossed on the tyre sidewall. You will see a string of digits and letters; each part says something different.

Width is the widest point of the tyre, the ratio is the sidewall height, and the rim diameter is the rim itself.
120
Width — the widest point of the tyre, in millimetres.
70
Aspect ratio — sidewall height as a percentage of the width. 70 means "the sidewall is 70% of the width".
ZR
Construction — R is radial, ZR is radial rated for high speed, no marking means a bias (diagonal) carcass.
17
Rim diameter — in inches. The diameter of the rim the tyre sits on.
58
Load index — the code for the maximum weight the tyre can carry.
W
Speed index — the letter for the tyre's maximum speed rating.

On most motorcycles the front and rear tyres are different sizes; read them separately.
